The AO Pass as always was used to bring back details lost in the painting process.
Originally more vessels were in the scene, but were removed later on, since they didn't contribute to the image
A moon was actually created for the background, but was dropped halfway through the painting phase. The lighting here is not the version that would have been used for the final piece!
